Can you guess what I enjoy most about the work I do?
It’s the people I meet. The relationships I build. The difference I feel I make in my clients’ businesses and lives. I feel immensely privileged when these clients choose me to help them develop their brand identity and/or website.
For many business owners, it’s quite personal and emotional. So I love how open my clients are at giving me a raw and real behind-the-scenes look at how and why they began, how their business has evolved, and what their vision for the future is.
And occasionally, because my website and signature packages include videography and photography, I really do get to physically go behind-the-scenes at my clients’ premises.
That’s exactly what happened when the owners of award-winning Awaroa Winery on Waiheke Island, needed a new ecommerce website to elevate their visual identity, and streamline their stock management and sales processes.
A trip to the beautiful winery with my photographer and videographer meant I could immerse myself in the ethos of the brand and the beauty of their environment. This enabled me to reflect the same down-to-earth experience throughout their website aesthetic
It also enabled me to better understand how my client ran their business and needed their website to function, so I could make sure the client chose the most suitable eCommerce platform for their needs. Awaroa Winery’s requirements included being able to manage stock (in real time) and streamline sales, while also incorporating an online wine club membership, which had been paper-based until the creation of their new website.
From start to finish the project lasted eight weeks and was awarded Rocketspark’s Partner Site of the Month for April 2020.
