...And in the case of The Florist, owned by Priya and her husband Bobby, their core brand values set the tone for the update we gave their brand after they bought the business from the previous long-standing business owners.
These three simple yet crucial key words became the backbone of the branding work that we undertook to give The Florist a fresh new look while staying true to the established customer base. Priya and Bobby approached Greenhouse Creative to facilitate their vision of putting their own stamp on the business, and so we set about working through a Brand Strategy as well as Brand Design that encompassed stationery, gift cards, retail signage, vehicle signage and a Shopify website design.
As a starting point, the brand values were brought into the new logo which features petals in the shape of a heart, combined with the movement lines to provide a literal interpretation of delivery and convenience. The core values were echoed in the new tagline – Send Love – and a fresh new colour palette of black and gold was used to cue high-end luxury and celebration while soft, feminine colours became the secondary palette.
But the brand didn’t just need to look the part, it needed to provide an exceptional user experience too. “I wanted to rebrand my store and create a refreshingly beautiful and user-friendly website which would help me further enhance my brand.” Priya says. “Tonia created an absolutely stunning brand design and logo as well as an awesome website. Having a stunning, user-friendly website is so important these days as more and more people are shopping online.”
Knowing full well the impact a user-friendly website can have on a business’ success, I recommended a Shopify website as Priya wanted to implement certain e-commerce features such as: customer loyalty points, a personalised reminder system, selection between store pickup and delivery, a delivery date selector and a percentage of sales to going to their nominated charity, the Ronald McDonald House. Because the user experience was very important to Priya and Bobby, the website development was methodical and meticulous.
But the website design was just the first step. The imagery, content and effectiveness of the website needed to reflect the brand cues and values.
To deliver on the new strategy and design we had identified, we brought in a team of experts which included a professional photographer, content writers and SEO experts. By dovetailing our design work at Greenhouse Creative with these industry specialists, we were able to tap into their knowledge and expertise to deliver an exceptional result for The Florist team.
"Tonia has an awesome team. She provided [us] with the photographer who was great to work with, and her content writers did a great job as well. It was great for me not having to waste my time looking for the specialists as it was all taken care of by Tonia” explains Priya. From our extensive network of trusted experts, we are able to bring in specialists who are in sync with your vision and brand values - after all, these values are the starting point for everything we do.
We completed this work over a year ago, but we still work with Priya and Bobby to this day to offer support and direction wherever, and whenever, it is needed. “Tonia continues to assist whenever I ask for help which is great. It was a great learning experience, and I continue to learn each day as I understand what works for the business and what doesn't. I'm very happy with the whole project. I'm thankful to Tonia [for] bringing my vision alive and [improving] it further with her ideas.” Priya explains.
